Taking care of "summer skin" this hot season of summer

While the sun’s rays can be especially tantalizing this time of year, it can also lead to some severe and dangerous problems for those who aren’t well prepared.

Ultraviolet rays from the sun can cause issues in vision, diet and are especially problematic for your skin.

Protect your skin this summer with these three tips.

Lather Up
This one is simple, lather on SPF sunscreen to create a first line of defense against dangerous rays from the sun. Experts suggest no sunscreen below SPF30 because they don’t offer enough protection.
Although many seek a bronze tan this time of year, sunscreen will allow you more time to spend outside to slowly and safely bronze your summer skin.

Sunglasses
It’s essential that you protect one of your most sensitive organs, your eyes, from the summer’s dangerous rays. We suggest purchasing a dark pair of sunglasses that offer specific solutions to sunlight. The sun’s reflections off of the water can cause temporary or long-term blindness and can burn the sensitive skin below your eyes.

What are you wearing??
The best layer of defense from melanoma and other dangerous skin conditions is to wear clothing that will protect your body. Opt for a large hat paired with sunglasses and a sheer to add another element of defense to your body.

If you get sunburned, you must try Candace and Kids Goats Milk Soap - Lavender Goats Milk soap helps sooth sunburn and replenishes your hair after a all day adventure in the sun.  The Candace and Kids Calendula and Camomile also aids in treating sunburn, acne, exzema, diaper rash, insect bites, psoriasis, athlete's foot and shingles.

Appreciate your teachers this Holiday Season!

With the horrible tragedy in Connecticut that just occurred - we must think in our own minds who we should give the gift of appreciation. Who are the ones that we would like to say "Thank you" to.

Although the teachers of our children receive payment for their services- many go above and beyond the call of duty. Giving a gift to our children's instructors or teachers just allows us the small opportunity to say Thank you and show how much they are appreciated during the Holiday Season.

It takes a special and unique person to be a teacher of children. If you think hard about it, many of these teachers have our children 8 hours out of a day - that is more than half of a day and many times the teachers see our kids more than we do, especially if you are a working parent.

At Candace and Kids Soap Company - we honor those teachers that give so freely of themselves and go above and beyond for the love of our children.

This Christmas - step outside your comfort zone and give a small token of love and appreciation to the teachers that help us form and shape our children. Some of the teachers will remain in our children's lives as they continue to grow up and begin their journey of life.

Wrap up some Candace and Kids soaps and put a small little note with it - give some goat's milk soap to the teacher that deserves a little relaxation in a bath or the teacher who likes to fish or be outdoors. The Lavender Goats Milk Soap will provide some tranquility for that stressed out teacher and the Fishy Goats Milk Soap will assist that teacher who fishes for relaxation, especially if it's a male teacher.

Our hearts and souls pour out to those in Connecticut and we will be praying for their families this holiday season.

Candace and Kids Soap Company - who we are!

All Candace and Kids Soap Company goat's milk soaps are handmade soaps made on our family farm Daniel Divide in Thomaston, Ga.

Candace and Kids uses 100% farm fresh goat's milk for the liquid in our goat's milk soaps. Candace and Kids never dilute our soaps with water! Goat's milk is the same ph as the human skin so it "agrees" with your skin, is soothing, full of vitamins and alpha hydroxy acid.

Candace and Kids Soap Company uses unrefined shea butter, olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil and soy oil in each bar. Our of our soap bars contain essential oils, all natural colorants and other quality ingredients. Candace and Kids soaps are "hand friendly",  and we cure for 6 weeks or longer and are at least 5.5oz. The goats milk soap bars are approximately 35% goat's milk, retain 10% natural glycerine and may be used as shampoo bars too. Many of our customers with dry skin, oily skin, acne, rosacea, sensitive skin , eczema or psoriasis report that our goat's milk soaps have given them relief from their skin and scalp problems.

The Lavender Goats Milk Soap aids in healing dry or acne prone skin. Helps with hair shine and dry scalp, sunburn and insect bites.

If you need a soap to assist in moisturizing, soothing and healing for the sensitive skin of babies
(3 months and older), children and adults - the Calendula and Chamomile Goat's Milk Soap is a great antiseptic soap, antifungal soap and antibacterial soap.  This Calendula and Chamomile soap helps aid in treating sunburn, acne, exzema, diaper rash, insect bites, psoriasis, athlete's foot and shingles
